A Childcare Membership entitles your family to unlimited calls for babysitters, house sitters and pet sitters. The annual fee for a child care membership is $265 (plus tax).

Babysitters are paid $14 per hours directly by the family (cash or personal check) – four hour minimum per job. There are no hidden fees by day, or upcharges for a full day vs half days, or booking fees for each request. Sitters are available 24/7. We do ask that should you need to cancel, - please give the sitter 4 hours notice.

The Sitting Service screens every sitter before we engage them with our service. We run criminal record checks, and request three personal references, which are verified. You can never be too careful, and we do not recommend hiring sitters that have not been screened professionally.

We have a strong record of quality – and have been serving families for over 65 years in Fairfield County. The majority of our sitters come from referrals from member families, or sitters working for the service. All are at least 21 years of age, reliable, and able to handle your family’s needs. Safety is our priority - and we want you and your family to be at ease. If you find a sitter you like, you can always request them and we will try to accommodate your request.

All sitters have their own transportation and valid CT driver’s licenses. Our sitters are able to drive children in your car, to and from classes or games if necessary. Please let the office know if these services are required.

Our sitters are available to help out at birthday parties, weddings and other special events. Call our office to inquire about rates. We service hotels, churches, and other large groups.

Need a hand when you go away? We also have sitting staff that will accompany families on trips and vacations. Whether to the Vineyard or the Hamptons, our sitters will help make your vacations restful for all!
